Youth Programs

Youth Programs
Youth services accomplish two goals, one being prevention which is a powerful way to help stop the spread of HIV and the other goal is to provide a safe and fun place to share experiences and build camaraderie among peers.

  • Camp Incredible – A family camp established in 2005 that strives to improve the lives of children and their families affected by HIV/AIDS by providing a safe, fun and positive environment for families to reconnect and strengthen their family bond by spending time together, participating in activities, relaxing and having fun.
  • Kid Konnection - Saturday activities every other month for families affected by HIV/AIDS.  It is designed to provide families a safe place to share experiences and build camaraderie among peers.  Kid Connection cultivates an environment where families are able to speak openly about their feelings and the disease that is affecting them without prejudice.
  • Positive Peer Prevention – A program for youth ages 13-18.  P3 involves youth educating youth about the biology, transmission and prevention of HIV/AIDS and other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI s) through group presentations and one on one interaction with family or friends.
  • YEP! -Body Positive is collaborating with Native Health and 1N10 for this program targets two key populations MSM Youth of Color and Transgender Youth of Color 14-24 and living in Maricopa County.   An MPowerment approach, this programs help build community through HIV education and prevention.
  • Kids for Life – An educational program that brings the music of Tom Chapin to at-risk youth culminating with all participants attending a live concert with Tom Chapin.
